Materials List

Easel: Use either a tabletop, or free standing easel.

 

Palette: Use a glass palette.

You can use a 11”x14” frame with glass or buy a piece of tempered glass with smoothed edges from your local glazier.

 

Drawing Board (for Online classes and workshops): Will be used with Easel (Medici will demonstrate how to set it up)

You need a drawing board either 16”x20” or 18”x 24”

This will hold your reference, panel and palette 

6-8 Drawing board clips, binder clips are fine (varying sizes)

Roll of BlueTape or Painters Tape

Mahl stick/ Backscratcher (perfect for steadying your hands while painting) https://amzn.to/30H2PPD

Brushes: Any professional brushes in the following sizes are fine

Red Sable, Kolinsky Sable or Synthetic Sable (pointed)   #4 (x2), #6 (x2) #8 (x1)

 

Pigments: No student grade, 40ml tube or larger

Titanium White

Yellow Ochre

Burnt Sienna 

Oxide of Chromium

Ultramarine Blue

Ivory Black  

Wooden Panels

Additional Materials:

2 Organic free range eggs

2 cups for water

1 cup with lid for egg

2 sheets of 11”x14” tracing paper

Palette Knife

Glass Muller (optional)

Rags or Paper Towels

Sketchbook and Pencil (for notes and thumbnails)
