Workshop Description

An efficient way to develop our observation and intuition simultaneously is by practicing Alla Prima painting. In this 2-day Portrait Painting Workshop, we will investigate some of the skills and techniques that make our portraits luminous and beautiful. Dominique demos and shows you a process of painting in clear and consecutive steps. We will use a primary palette of 7 colors that is designed to help us master color mixing with 3 questions. We will use these skills to create 2 or 3 paintings by the end of the weekend. Skill level is not that important although basic drawing skills are a plus. It is for any student that is interested in receiving instruction and willing to put in the practice.

Tuition: $350 (All Levels)

This weekend workshop is in Dominique Medici’s Studio in Seattle’s International District. To maintain a high level of quality and individual attention this workshop is limited to 5 students only.
